Meet Betty Beader

Proverbs 20:15 Lips that speak knowledge are a rare jewel.

I'm glad you stopped by for a visit.

I hope you are enjoying your time while you are here learning what you can about beading for beginners.

I have so much I want to share and as I continue to add more and more information I hope you decide to hang around for all the goodies that we will be doing together.

But allow me to take just a moment to introduce myself to you.

My story is a bit different than what you might be experiencing. After all I am a fictitious character created from someone's imagination.

But I play a vital role for her...and you.

Let me explain by first introducing you to the voice that created me and the face behind Betty Beader.

This is Teri, the voice of Betty Beader and this is our story...

Thanks Betty, I'll be glad to take over and share with our friends how you came about.

Hi all, thx for your interest. I'll do my best to keep this short.

If you want the long version then you'll have to wait for my biography...'The Life of a Beading Instructor'. ;)

I do share my own story of my 'bead'-ginnings, which may sound similar to yours...dealing with the struggles of learning how to get started beading.

But here...I wanted to share how Betty came about. She was a life saver for me and has become my best 'fictitious' friend I've ever had.

From my early days when I knew without a doubt that I wanted to instruct others how to get started in basic beading I worked under two voices, a student voice [after all, I was still learning new things] and the instructor's voice [sharing my new discoveries to make your start that much easier].

I was able to handle it for the most part in doses. I taught in my local area in a variety of venues and it was moving along. I enjoyed what I was doing.

Life would have it's little hiccups, I was a wife and mother before I was an instructor. This was a hobby I was passionate about, but it was still a hobby.

Until I realized my kids were growing up and needed me less and less...what would I do then?

Well why not move more and more into your other passion, instructing others to get started in beading.

One thing lead to another and I was reaching a point that I wanted to bring my instruction to a wider audience. I wanted to create a website for these instructions I had been fine tuning.

That started a whole new set of challenges of learning the internet differently. [still another story]

You've heard the saying..."Necessity is the Mother of Invention"?

Well?...

Betty Beader is Created

Cutting to the chase, 2013 started off with a bang and proved to be a very stressful year with family obligations. From those stresses I had to find an avenue to escape so I could deal with real life.

Beading had become my refuge, my solace, the simplicity in what felt like was becoming the complexities of life.

Teaching others was truly a great joy for me. It is a boost of energy every time people walk away from my class with a huge smile and a sense of accomplishment that they just made a piece of jewelry, all by themselves.

I reached a point I had to define my instructor's voice outside of myself so that I could hear it whenever I wanted to step into it.

That's when Betty Beader was created and we have been best friends ever since.

And now, I share her with you. Helping you find your way through all the other voices telling you to do it this way or that way.

Betty Beader is 'your' beading for beginners instructor walking you through this process of step by step simplistic beading instructions, but her voice comes from my desire to see it happen for you, the beginner.

There is always more to the story but that will wait til another day.

For now...
